Welcome to The Beach House! This oceanfront home has lovely ocean views from all living areas and one bedroom. It is only 3 blocks from downtown Folly Beach, so easily walk or bike to shops, restaurants, and the Folly Beach Pier. Lounge on the open deck, or relax with a good book and a beverage on the large screen porch admiring and listening to the rolling waves. Use your private boardwalk down to the beach to easily go for a swim and take a leisurely stroll to look for shells.
Upon entering the house, you will immediately be greeted with bright colors, beachy décor, and ocean views in the open living room, fully stocked kitchen, and oceanfront dining area. Dining table has seating for 6, and an additional seating for 4 at the bar of the kitchen island. The gorgeous kitchen is a dream to cook in! Gas range and oven are conveniently placed on the kitchen island. Granite countertops surround you, cabinets are fully stocked, and all appliances are stainless steel, including an ice maker and wine fridge. Common areas flow seamlessly together, so you'll never be left out of the entertainment, and have peaceful ocean views while cooking and serving meals for the whole family. Living room has a large, flat screen TV and sliding door opening up onto the large screen porch and patio that lead down to the beach boardwalk.
Head down the hallway to the bedrooms. The primary king bedroom is oceanfront with a door straight to the open patio. Bedroom has a full, private bathroom en suite where you can spread out at the double vanity to easily get ready for a night out. The first guest bedroom is equipped with another king bed. One additional queen bedroom is found down the hallway, along with one bedroom that has 2 twin beds. There are 2 full bathrooms accessible from the hallway. All three bathrooms have tub/shower combination.
Outdoor shower is located on the steps of the boardwalk to shower the sand off from a long day playing on the beach. Grill out on the gas grill. Enjoy the sitting area at the end of the boardwalk for a serene overview of the beach and the Folly Beach Fishing Pier.
Center Street is just 3 blocks away, to wander through shops and explore restaurants. Take a walk down or fish from the second longest fishing pier on the east coast, the Edwin S. Taylor Fishing Pier. The 3rd Street beach access is the closest, with life guards on duty near the hotel during peak season months. Bike to the far east end of Folly, down E. Ashley Ave, to the ¼ mile walking path leading to the picturesque beach to take in the serene view of Morris Island Lighthouse. The farthest point at the west of the island has the Folly Beach County Park and more manned lifeguard stations. Several local tour companies offer paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, and shelling tours, sunset cruises for dolphin watching, as well as surfing lessons.
Historic downtown Charleston is a mere 25 minute drive away. Neighboring towns of James Island, Johns Island, Mount Pleasant, Isle Of Palms, & Wild Dunes all have something special to offer, whether you are a foodie, into golf, historic sites, or craft brews. Golfing is a popular pass time in the Lowcountry and several courses are nearby at Stono Ferry, Patriot's Point Links, James Island Community Course, and the world-class courses on Kiawah Island.
The Beach House is strictly non-smoking, strictly not pet-friendly, and is a family vacation rental. Amenities include beach gear credit, Wi-Fi, cable TV, washer, dryer, fully stocked kitchen with modern appliances, outdoor shower, gas grill, central heat and air conditioning, 24-hour emergency on-call staff. No events allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of the home. Must be 25 years old or older to rent. We hope to see you soon!
