Perfectly suited to couples or a small family, nothing beats a Folly vacation in this 1930’s era classic beach cottage – from the painted wood floors to the vintage wicker and rattan - this island home is relaxed living with all the comforts of home. While enjoying expansive ocean views from the porch and roof top deck, you’ll have the beach breeze morning to night and the vast starry ‘dark’ sky after sunset. Situated just steps from the beach access and with your own private outdoor shower, popping to and from the house makes beach living easy.

What’s nearby:
The heart of Folly with quintessential beach stores, locally-owned restaurants and bars lies a short 30 min walk or 10 min bike ride away (12 blocks). Within 5-6 blocks you’ll also find access to basketball, pickle-ball & tennis courts and the “wash-out” surf destination. One end of the island boasts the Folly beach County Park, and the other holds pristine views of the historic Morris Island Lighthouse. During your stay, take advantage of the many outdoor activities & lessons offered on the island, including fishing, surfing, biking, kayaking, boating, and much more. A 12-mile/15 min drive will take you to historic downtown Charleston, where you can enjoy all that the Holy City has to offer.

Parking Notes:

Two off-street parking spaces are included. Please park in the designated parking off of 12^th street in front of the blue house with white trim that faces the ocean. (There is also plenty of free off-street parking around this cottage.)

Sandcrab is strictly non-smoking, not pet-friendly, and is a family vacation rental. Free Wifi provided. Outdoor shower for easy cleanup after a long beach day. No grill. Full-size washing machine and dryer provided. We provide 24-hour emergency on-call staff. No events allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of the home. This cottage was even better than we had anticipated. It was sparkling clean, very welcoming, and equipped with everything we needed. We loved the styling of the interiors, including the oh-so-slight pitch in the floor; that is character that you can't re-create in a modern cottage. The rooftop porch is such a special little perch, well maintained with nice outdoor chairs and umbrellas. Thank you for a chance to enjoy it all!

My daughter and I planned this trip to get away and enjoy a relaxed and beach feel accommodations. This house was great! Definitely close to the beach access. It has a very traditional beach home feel. Clean beds etc. great kitchen to cook and had just enough supplies to do just that. Eating out with options to stay in were a huge part of its appeal. Loved it!

We enjoyed the stay. The house was nicely furnished. The ocean view was good. The walk to the water was short. The beach at that part of the island is nice and wide. Carolina Rentals took care if any problems we had very quickly. So we had a very nice time.

property management was great and went over and beyond when we had an issue with the AC. they were quick to respond and super helpful, especially given the demands and limitations of a holiday weekend. we had a great time and know that was due to the management and care of the property, as well as the excellent customer service!

The beach cottage was the perfect getaway for us. Beautiful views. The screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee. Everything was very clean and we loved the old cottage feel. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals.

This was the best little beach cottage. The owner took great care decorating with vintage finds to complement the 1930's cottage. The brand new kitchen and appliances were very nice and stocked well for cooking we did not but did enjoy the hot pot and French press for coffee. My husband and I appreciated the wicker furniture on the screened porch and the rooftop deck. It was just the right mix of vintage and new. We arrived late and all the lights were on and jazz playing.

Absolutely loved this rental!! Stayed here for a long weekend and the house met all our needs and exceeded my expectations. The rental was clean & comfortable and the location is perfect (steps from the beach!). I loved the historic charm and eclectic beach decor. Based on older reviews, I was a bit worried of what I would find, but I think significant updates have been made recently (all new appliances in the kitchen, new washer/dryer, updated decor, etc).

We loved our experience at the Sandcrab, on Folly Beach. The house was perfect for our party of 3, super comfortable space with a vintage beach cottage style - we felt right at home! Loved the screened in porch and roof top with ocean views. And best of all- the proximity to the beach was perfect! Can't wait to come back and stay again!
