This raised 1930s carriage house is absolutely adorable and the perfect cozy getaway for a couple or a private escape for one looking to work, read/write, or surf! With relaxing ocean views and the beach access just 25 yards away (less than a block) – this 1 bedroom house has a queen bed, fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, and a porch perch to provide all the comforts of home. You’ll spend your afternoons in the sand and surf, with a heated rinse off in your own private outdoor shower!

What's Nearby:
The heart of Folly with quintessential beach stores, locally-owned restaurants and bars lies a short 30 min walk or 10 min bike ride away (12 blocks). Within 5-6 blocks you’ll also find access to basketball, pickle-ball & tennis courts and the “wash-out” surf destination. One end of the island boasts the Folly beach County Park, and the other holds pristine views of the historic Morris Island Lighthouse. During your stay, take advantage of the many outdoor activities & lessons offered on the island, including fishing, surfing, biking, kayaking, boating, and much more. A 12-mile/15 min drive will take you to historic downtown Charleston, where you can enjoy all that the Holy City has to offer.

Fiddler Crab is strictly non-smoking, not pet-friendly, and is a family vacation rental. Free Wi-Fi provided. Outdoor shower for easy cleanup after a long beach day. No grill. We provide 24-hour emergency on-call staff. No events allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of the home. Must be 25 years old or older to rent, no exceptions. We loved Fiddlers Crab cottage and will be back to vacation there next year. The location is great and the perfect size for a couple to spend the week. Charleston is a short drive from the cottage and we had dinner in Charleston twice. The remainder of our stay we purchased fresh seafood from Crosby fish market, a short drive from the cottage, and cooked dinners at home. The minute we opened the door we knew we chose the perfect place. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our time at the fiddler crab! The property was well maintained very clean check in was an absolute breeze, and even when we had an issue after we had checked out where we had left some of our stuff behind the staff was super accommodating and helped us get our stuff back with no hassle. Absolutely would recommend for anyone looking to book a vacation!

Our family has been coming to Folly from Michigan for many years. This time, it was just my wife and I for a Spring Break trip. We have stayed at many Folly properties over 20+ years and prefer the increasingly elusive Old Folly Charm over the newest and shiniest updates. While providing every amenity needed for an enjoyable stay, We found The Fiddler Crab Cottage to be a definitive example of the former!

I have stayed at many places on Folly over the years and this is by far one of my favorites. The Fiddler Crab was clean and adorable. We were going to get to Folly very late on our check-in day and both outside and inside lights were left on for us. Plus the location was fabulous!! We will definitely stay there again!!

We love Folly Beach. It is our favorite place on earth next to our home sweet home of course. Our rental was exceptional. Perfect for us as a couple. The beach was 1/2 block away to the beach access . It was so easy to spend the day at the beach and then revisit at night for a stroll with the evening sky. Loved it and will certainly book this rental again.

We really could not have been more pleased. The little Fiddler Crab house was just the perfect size for the two of us, and it had everything we needed. The decor was lovely and all of the books were a nice touch. The location- SO close to the beach- was absolutely fantastic! We will definitely consider this house again sometime for a future trip to Folly!
