Slack Tide

We've been coming to EB for more than 25 years so we've stayed in a variety of locations around the island. We found the rental to be in a good location (just 2-3 blocks off the beach and easy to access with a golf cart). It's on one of the quiet streets with a less traveled dirt roads out front. We were able to park 5 vehicles. It has a nice screened in porch and a nice, large sofa in the living room for movie watching with the family in the evenings. The kitchen had been remodeled, but lacked some appointments. The kitchen had salt/pepper and coffee filters. We only saw one wine glass and one shot glass and not quite enough coffee mugs to go around. The bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms had also been remodeled nicely. A bonus for me is that we only spotted a few palmetto bugs during our two week stay. There were two beach chairs in the closet and corn hole underneath. I would stay there again!

Twenty five years of coming to Edisto! That kind of loyalty means the world to us, and we're honored Slack Tide was part of your latest trip. It sounds like the home checked a lot of boxes, the quiet street, the easy golf cart run to the beach, room to park the whole crew, and that big sofa and screened porch for winding down in the evenings. Those remodeled kitchen and baths are a point of pride too, so we're glad they showed. Thank you also for the note on the kitchen inventory. As it happens, we're heading into our off season prep and reviewing kitchen supplies across our homes, so we'll make sure Slack Tide gets a good once over on things like glassware, mugs, and the small essentials. Feedback like yours is exactly what makes that process better. We can't wait to have you back for year twenty six and beyond!

Only negative was the back yard's grass needed cutting. House and location was great.

The location is wonderful. Very close to the beach but very quiet and peaceful. Great location for dog walking if you bring your furry one.will definitely rent again.

The house is nicely furnished. It was nice to have the cooled back porch to enjoy meals together. The beds were comfortable. It is about a five-minute walk to the beach but most days we drove to the main road across from the beach and parked on the side of the road in allotted spaces. Kitchen could use a few more plastic bowls and a muffin pan.
