Marsa's Place

The family asked me to write the review. I'm seventeen. I drove my car with Big Sis in it from Atlanta. Listen up. “Marsa's Place” is the BEST! The views from all four balconies are gorgeous out of a movie. It was so quiet. Way cooler than Hilton Head. Mom said it costed half as much. Grandmommy loved the kitchen where she made a bathtub of spaghetti and we all sat around the kitchen table and chowed down. I'd make a sandwich to take out on our dock for lunch. And swim a little. Mainly two hours of sunbathing. So peaceful until a dolphin swam by. Not twenty feet away. Then I'd shower, get in my car and drive like five minutes to the public beach. All the kids in SC are cool. So nice. Then back to “Marsa's Place” and its big rooms. Classy. Best vacation ever! Mattie

Loved the location ! Covered Dock at back of house Beach view from front . Perfect for kayaking and exploring the beach ! Great views of Sunrise and Sunsets from the large porches on both the 2nd and 3rd floors. As always the service was great with Carolina One !

Amazing views from “Marsa's Place”. Located on a little bar of land, the ocean in front, tidal creek and marshlands in back. It's quite private and tranquil, away from the public beach. On the ocean side, private beach walks, shelling and surf fishing. Both trout and spot tail bass. On the creek side, the kids had fun swimming and kayaking. Dolphin come into this creek!! We saw dolphins twice!! Exciting. The home is a handsome low country house with traditional vintage decor. Kitchen well stocked for cooking. Four huge porches, ceiling fans, rockers and swings. Gorgeous views. We'll be back this Fall.

Marsa’s Place has an ocean view and a back marsh and tidal river dock. Beautiful! The house is comfortable, but could use decor updating. Carolina One was excellent is supplying our needs.

We would not hesitate using your management company again. Your service was friendly and communications were clear. The house was dated, but was clean and we certainly appreciated that. The house was in a safe area with great views from the front and back of the house. We enjoyed the beach within a short walk and we spent time successfully fishing just out back.

I would recommend cleaning the mold from the ac vents in all the rooms. Truly loved the area and will Be back.

This was a last minute Morher’s Day weekend get away. We loved the lay out of the house and being able to open the French doors for the ocean breeze to come through. This was our second time staying in Cowpens in the last 5 months and again the location did not disappoint. We will see again soon!

What an amazing time my family and I had at this beautiful home. We live locally, but choose to get a way for a week now and then as break from the normal routine. Marsa’s place was perfect. We were so comfortable and cozy in the home. We loved waking up and looking out at the coast from one porch and then turning around and viewing the Marsh and its beauty on the other porch. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We look forward to staying there again!

Our family is hard to please. I want tranquility. My husband wants to catch six or more spot tail bass surf fishing. Granmom wants a beautiful house with beautiful views. My kids want to catch crab and romp in the surf. My teenager wants to mingle on the beach with other teens she’s met here. Every one of us gave this vacation an “A+”. “Marsa’s Place” was perfect. A home that’s beautiful without being frilly. Big rooms. A great location for us, separate from the crowded main beach, but close enough for our teenager to get there to mingle. What a perfect week! Marsa's place is one of those rare places you can go and commune with nature in an environment that also has unmatched access to a nearly private beach. Perched on a secluded peninsula with surf in front and marsh in back, it is a birdwatcher's paradise, and a great place for a quiet vacation or artist's retreat. Spend hours combing the shores looking for gorgeous shells; rock on the porch in the late afternoon with a glass of wine; sit on a private deck overlooking the marsh and watch the dolphins come in for a sunset cruise. We've spent a week there every year for 2 years running, and the adults and kids always look forward to sharing our time there together.

I was there to enjoy the serenity and beauty. Also to beach walk and go crabbing off the dock at Marsa’s Place. Mission accomplished. What a WONDERFUL week! The rooms of the house are spacious and handsome. The four porches had rockers and swings and a hammock chair. Biking the trails of the park was great fun. “Marsa’s Place” is classy. And convenient to everything. My favorite times were walking the beach early in the day. And rocking on the front porch with a glass of wine in late afternoon. The view of the ocean through the twisted ancient oaks, enjoying the sea breeze, is just the right ending to a perfect day.
