Welcome to 236 Driftwood Villa (2BR/2BA; Sleeps 6; 1K, 1Q, 1Q SS) Just the place to help you slip right into the “Edislow” state of mind. You will appreciate the privacy of 2 separate bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and fully equipped kitchen; including a full size washer/dryer. You'll also enjoy separate living/dining areas with a TV in the main living area and primary bedroom. Sit back and enjoy the cool ocean air, while you take in all the unspoiled beauty of Edisto Island right from your large 2nd floor balcony. If you’re lucky, you’ll see families of deer walking the course, in the evening. Edisto Beach, known for its natural and uncommercialized beauty is just 45 minutes south of Charleston, is one of the few remaining lightly developed beaches on the coast of South Carolina. Instead of traffic lights and chain stores you will find moss-covered oak trees, creeks, and over 4 miles of sandy beaches and some amazing restaurants. It is the ideal place to come for fishing, observing wildlife and sunsets, collecting treasures from the sea, golfing and renewing relationships with family and friends. The picture-perfect place to create lasting memories.

Pros: Beautiful interior, excellent AC, stocked with supplies, lovely view from patio, private bathroom, beautiful surroundings outside. We enjoyed biking to nearby beach. Relatively quiet neighbors upstairs. Had the feel of Air BnB. Cons: the fridge took a day to fully cool down (went up and down a time or two), ice maker didn’t work, patio high chair cushions were very moldy and need to be replaced.

Regarding the refrigerator, we can confirm it is functioning properly, but it can take several hours to reach optimal cooling after being stocked. As a reminder, we include the following guidelines in both your check-in packet and inside the unit:

Refrigerator: Upon arrival, check to ensure refrigerator and freezer temperature controls are on the middle setting, normally “C” and “5”, for optimal airflow. Once stocked, please keep the door closed for at least 4 hours to allow sufficient time for the temperature to recover. You may want to keep perishables (and cold drinks) in a cooler until the appropriate temperature has been reached.
