• Take all leftover grocery items out of refrigerator & freezer. Unopened items may be left for housekeepers.
• Clean dishes and put away. If applicable, place remaining dishes in dishwasher and run the dishwasher.
• Take trash and recycling out to designated bins.
• Double check under beds, etc. for left items.
• Make sure all windows and doors are secure upon departure.
• Isle Of Palms, Wild Dunes, & Folly Beach – Towels may be left in the bathroom and linens can be left on the beds.
• Edisto – If linens have been rented, beds must be stripped and linens are to be returned to the office; otherwise, please simply pull bedspreads back on the beds.
You MUST be 25 years old or older to rent a property from Carolina One Vacation Rentals.
Anyone under the age of 25 years old must be accompanied by an adult that is 25 years old or older at all times while at the property. Any situation found otherwise will be denied check-in and/or subject to eviction.
You can make a reservation a few different ways. Our reservationists are available by phone 7 days a week (excluding major holidays) – (843)580-0500. You can also book your reservation online 24 hours a day via our website: www.carolinaonevacationrentals.com Reservations for the following year may be made as soon as calendars open for that particular property.
A deposit of 50% of the total price is due on the date the reservation is made. The balance is due to be paid in full 60 days prior to your check-in date. Reservations made less than 60 days prior to the arrival date must be paid in full at the time of booking.
We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit card payments.
Early arrivals and late departures are not guaranteed but can be requested. If you need a guaranteed arrival time prior to 12:00pm, the previous night would need to be reserved. Requests are reviewed on a case by case basis. If your early arrival request is approved, you would be contacted by Carolina One Vacation Rentals at that time on the day of your arrival.
We ask that you do not park at the property prior to the 4:00pm check-in time, or being notified that your property is ready early. Our housekeepers and property managers need to get in and out of the home easily.
Do not enter the property prior to the 4:00pm check-in time, or being notified that your property is ready early. Due to covid-19, we want to be sure the home is cleaned and inspected properly for your safety. If guests enter the home early without authorization and housekeeping is not finished, housekeeping and the property manager will not be able to complete their tasks. We strive to be thorough so you can have the most relaxing vacation!
Isle Of Palms, Wild Dunes, & Folly Beach:
1. Reservations made after September 8th, 2020 are subject to following cancellation policy:
ALL GUEST CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING via letter or email. To protect all parties, the AGENT has a strictly enforced policy for cancellations. Cancellation requests received from the GUEST within three (3) days of the booking of the reservation are subject to a full refund. All GUEST cancellations submitted more than sixty (60) days prior to the reservation arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 10% of the total reservation cost. GUEST cancellations submitted in writing prior to forty-eight (48) hours (of the check in time of 4PM eastern standard time) of the reservation arrival date and up to sixty (60) days from the arrival date would result in a full refund of all payments made, excluding travel insurance premiums if purchased. Changing a confirmed reservation in any way within sixty (60) days of arrival, such as changes to arrival dates, departure dates, or property address is considered a cancellation. Refunds will not be given for inclement weather. Should a mandatory evacuation or island closure be issued by the South Carolina state or local authorities for your rental location, guests will be contacted and options for their stay will be assessed and presented on a case-by-case basis. Cancellations within forty-eight (48) hours of your reservation arrival time (4PM eastern standard time) will result in a forfeit of all deposits paid. Purchasing travel insurance for your reservation is strongly recommended in order to have the best chance for refund due to unforeseen circumstances.

Refunds of re-rented nights will not be determined until after the departure date off the original reservation. In the event of re-rental, a cancellation fee of 10% of the full amount of the initial rental will be assessed. Changing a confirmed reservation in any way within sixty (60) days of arrival, such as changes to arrival dates, departure dates, or property address is considered a cancellation and the same terms apply. Refunds will not be given for inclement weather, pandemics, travel bans, road or airport closing, late arrivals, or early departures. Should a mandatory evacuation or island closure be issued by the South Carolina state or local authorities for your rental location, guests will be contacted and options for their stay will be assessed and presented on a case-by-case basis. Purchasing travel insurance for your reservation is strongly recommended in order to have the best chance for refund due to unforeseen circumstances.
All cancellations MUST be given in writing. Payments made toward your reservation are not able to be refunded unless the property is able to be re-rented to another guest. If your dates are able to be re-rented, the guest will be refunded in full, minus a $100 cancellation fee. A $20 processing fee will be charged for changing dates within the same unit.
Refunds will not be given by Carolina One Vacation Rentals for inclement weather, road or airport closings, late arrivals or early departures. Should a mandatory evacuation be issued by state or local authorities, guests will be contacted and options for their stay will be assessed and presented on a case by case basis. If you have purchased travel insurance, this cost is not able to be refunded after purchase. Please see the Guest License Agreement provided after booking for full cancellation details.
Travel Insurance is strongly recommended to protect your vacation. There are many benefits and advantages to purchasing trip insurance. As with any insurance policy there are terms and conditions that apply. Travel insurance is optional and offered through Play Travel Protection to cover a variety of cancellation reasons. You are able to choose from the two policies, a Standard protection plan and a Cancel For Any Reason protection plan. Information regarding each policy is included in the Carolina One Vacation Rentals Guest License Agreement. Isle Of Palms, Wild Dunes, & Folly Beach – Keyless entry is how we give access to the majority of our homes and condos. Each property has specific locks that allow us to code the doors for easy check-in and checkout. You will use your unique door code throughout the duration of your stay. If your property does not have keyless entry, you will be given an alternate method in your arrival instructions to gain access to your rental property. Arrival instructions are emailed to you 7 days prior to your arrival date.
Edisto – Check-in at the Edisto office is required to pick up the key to your rental property. Keyless entry is not yet available. If arriving after 5:00pm, you must let the office know so alternate arrangements for your key pick up can be made. Arrival instructions are emailed to you 7 days prior to your arrival date.
We do send emails to our guests such as your reservation confirmation, payment receipts, reminders about your property, check out survey, etc. as a courtesy. Periodically, you may receive a text message, as we like to check-in with our guests to see how your stay is going. You can always check your Guest Portal account for your reservation details, to review the Guest License Agreement, and see your island's area information. Guest Portal login information is found at the top of your reservation confirmation email.
Yes! The maximum occupancy indicated for your rental property is the maximum number of guests allowed on the property at any time, regardless of sleeping or visiting. No events or parties are allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of the home.
Absolutely NO house parties, youth groups, fraternities, student groups, weddings, receptions, meetings, or parties are allowed. The exception is if you were to rent a designated Event Home.
There are only a handful of pet friendly homes on our rental program. Unless it is specified that the property is a pet friendly property and you have paid the service fee, the animal cannot come.
Isle Of Palms, Wild Dunes, & Folly Beach – Yes. All linens and bath towels are provided. 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth per person for the maximum occupancy of the home.
Edisto – Linens and towels are not furnished. Pillows and bedspreads are furnished. Rental linens are available for an additional charge and need to be reserved prior to arrival.
Isle Of Palms, Wild Dunes, & Folly Beach – A starter supply of products is provided. One roll of paper towels, 1 sponge, 1 dishwashing liquid, 3 trash bags, 3 dishwasher tabs, and 2 kitchen towels in the kitchen. In each bathroom, you will have 1 toilet paper roll and at least 1 bar of soap. Full bathrooms additionally have 1 small shampoo, 1 small conditioner, and 1 small lotion bottle. It is up to the guest to replenish if needed. 1 tank of propane is provided for the grill (assuming your property comes with a grill).
Edisto – 1 Trash bag is provided in every trash can. Kitchen towels are provided in the kitchen.
Yes. There is a noise ordinance on each island that is strictly enforced. Guests are responsible for paying any fines issued.
Isle Of Palms & Wild Dunes – Quiet is required Sunday through Thursday from 10:00pm to 10:00am, and Friday and Saturday from 11:00pm to 10:00am.
Folly Beach – Amplified music is prohibited outdoors. Any noise that disturbs your neighbors at any time of day or night could result in a citation.
Edisto – Quiet hours are required daily between 10:00pm to 6:00am.

The nearest airport to all of our properties is Charleston International Airport - 5500 International Boulevard, North Charleston, SC 29418.
Many of our privately owned homes come with a grill. We ask that you do not move the grill from its location as many of them are hooked up to gas lines. Nearly all condo complexes prohibit the use of grills. Contact our office if you have questions about grilling rules at your rental property.
All privately owned pools and hot tubs are serviced weekly and maintained through out the year. All community pools and hot tubs vary by location. Please refer to your reservation confirmation details, or contact the office for your location.
We make every attempt to locate left behind and lost items. In the event we find the item, the guest is responsible for the return shipment cost.
Unfortunately, outages happen. We make every attempt to correct the issue. We test the Wi-Fi and cable prior to your arrival so in the event either is not working we have time to try to resolve it prior to your arrival. If internet is absolutely necessary during your stay, it is recommended that you bring a hot spot or wireless internet card. There is a business center located in Wild Dunes in the event you need to have internet and Wi-Fi. You are always more than welcome to come to our office as well to use the internet.
No. All fireworks are STRICTLY prohibited at ALL locations.
No. Due to strict regulations leaving items on the beach overnight is prohibited. They also ask that you knock down any sandcastles and fill in any holes.
Wild Dunes & Isle Of Palms - You are NOT allowed to park RV’s, Campers, or Motorcycles at your rental property in Wild Dunes. You can however park them outside of the gates of Wild Dunes on the Isle of Palms, provided it fits in the driveway and does not violate any parking regulations and rules. Please contact the office on Isle Of Palms for questions.
Folly Beach & Edisto – You are NOT allowed to park RV’s, Campers, or Boat Trailers at your rental property unless it fits in the garage or driveway. It is prohibited to reside in the RV or Camper while it is parked in the garage or driveway.
Isle Of Palms, Wild Dunes, & Folly Beach – Yes, floor plans are located on our website under each specific property.
Edisto – Floor plans for rental properties are not yet available.
We do not have access to any condo mailboxes / mailbox keys. Many of our homeowners have the mail forwarded to their permanent residences which would prevent any mail / packages / prime to be delivered to the home. We can not guarantee that anything sent to a vacation rental will be delivered. If it is medical equipment please call the office to make arrangements.

Motorcycles are strictly prohibited in Wild Dunes. The Isle of Palms and Folly Beach do not have restrictions. ATV's are not allowed on the roads in Wild Dunes, Isle of Palms or Folly Beach. Golf Carts have to be registered to the city ( Folly Beach, Isle of Palms and Edisto) there for private golf carts are not allowed.
