Grand View

We absolutely loved this house! The views from the porches can't be beat and the location is perfect for watching dolphins and pelicans. We enjoyed using the very well equipped kitchen. The outdoor shower was great after days on the beach and the elevator was a game changer! We had an elderly travel companion who was able to enjoy the beach front without having to tackle the steps. There was more than ample space for our group and having linens provided was much appreciated. We will definitely stay at Grand View again when we return to our happy place on Edisto!

We had a wonderful vacation. Both the house and location were great. We would definitely stay there again. The only thing I would recommend would be for the blind to be replaced on the master bedroom door to the porch.

I called about the outside water hose spigot had broken. This was fixed within 2 hours, great response and service, no doubt.

This house was fantastic! One could not ask for a better location or porches to enjoy their time! The decor was perfect for a beach trip! Mattresses were very comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked! We would rent Grand View again in a heartbeat!

We recently returned home after a week at this home. The elevator is essential since my mother is on a wheelchair. Having read the other reviews, I was aware of the narrow doors on bathrooms and was prepared with a bedside commode from previous experience with this issue at other homes. The home is well equipped although I was not able to find a toaster in the cabinets. The door on the upstairs bedroom of the elevator was also too narrow to get the wheelchair through. We utilized the sleep sofa as the wheelchair also slid on the wood floors when trying to get into the bed. These are just small things that I have to worry about with her wheelchair and disability. The realty company was responsive when I called about an issue with the elevator light, turned out it was operator error and not a burnt out bulb. We will be staying here again as it was only about an hour to family that live on James Island.

Had a great time at Edisto playing bingo at the Lion's Club and relaxing on the beach! Carolina One makes it easy with sheets and towels provided, and the easiest cleanup for a weekly rental. Thanks for making the vacation stress-free!

Grand View has worked very well for my family every time we have vacationed there, six times we think. The house is always clean, accommodating and pretty well stocked with kitchen ware. While we would prefer a totally handicapped accessible rental, the elevator serves many of our needs. Another great stay at Grand View..

House was clean and a great location. I loved the extra parking space and that it was actually cemented. This kept down the sand being tracked into the house. I will definitely rent this house again.

I have rented Grand View several times. It is always very clean. Having an elevator is critical for me as I use a wheelchair for mobility. However if anyone in your party uses a wheelchair please note that the bathroom doors are not wide enough to allow a wheelchair to pass through.

Love staying at Grand View. The ocean view from balcony rocking chairs is beautiful and relaxing. Just walk across the street for beach access to swim or watch the sunrise. The house is clean, comfortable and well stocked. Within walking distance to restaurants, shops and groceries. The elevator and great water pressure are a plus. Thanks!

Also, I have lost a pair of small pair of gold hoop earrings and my granddaughter lost a new turtle necklace she had bought. Just in case anyone turns them in. We have rented Grand View several times over the past 3 years. We especially appreciate the elevator as two members of our family cannot use stairs. The house is always clean and temperature comfortable. Close to ocean, short walk, great view of beach which my disabled husband enjoys from the deck. Suggestion for this house and others is to install hold bars/rails by tubs and showers. This is not an expensive project to owners; many Edisto Beach vacationers like most in my family would feel more secure with these to hold on to.
