Charming Home

I was so thankful to be able to stay here at Brainwaves. It was cute and cozy. While some of the older things in the home only add to it's charm there are a few things that I would want to address if I was the home owner. The dishwasher trays all have rusted tips. I didn't want to use it because rust will leach in to all items washed and that is not exactly healthy. Almost all of the fans need to be tightened down. Most we could not use because they bounced to loudly against the flush mount portion of the fan. The upstairs shower needs to be snaked. While showering water did not drain. These were the only things I noticed and seem like easy fixes. Thanks again! :-) Lissa Myers

Great location, nice house

The location was perfect and the house was more than adequate. We had a last minute change to this house from the one I originally rented so I appreciate the Carolina One helping me choose Brainwaves as a replacement. The spiral staircase to the upper bedroom was a bit much for some in our party to navigate but one couple managed it. The only complaint was a strong smell of mothballs in the house. Fortunately, the weather was nice and we opened doors and windows and aired most of it out. We would definitely book this house again.

We have been staying at Brainwaves for 4 years now originally for 2 weeks and three weeks for the past two summers. We love the location on the sound and the house is perfect for our family and hosting meals for our extended family. The owners are incredibly receptive to ideas and we hope to be coming back for many more years!

My husband and I spend a week each year with our son and family. We had so much fun that the TV was never even turned on!!! Time goes so quickly that we are considering making it two weeks.
