Fun at the Aquarium

Spring Break 2021 in the Charleston Area

If you have kids that love animals, then bring them over to the South Carolina Aquarium one day. Here they will explore different exhibits such as the Mountain Forest, Piedmont, Trading Post, and Kids Coast. The Kids Coast is a great hands-on learning experience that will allow your kids to learn about water filtration and participate in different activities with others. There is also a Saltmarsh Aviary where you’ll be able to step outside and check out the Charleston Harbor, where you’ll see pelicans and more. Be sure, however, to purchase your tickets online before heading over to the Aquarium for the day.

Frankie’s Fun

Another great place where the whole family can head to is Frankie’s in Charleston. Frankie’s has everything that everyone in the family will love. Some of the things that you will be able to do together are mini-golf, go-karts, batting cages, bumper boats, and even an arcade. After playing a round of mini-golf with the family, head on over to Frankie’s Grill, where you can get pizza, burgers, hot dogs and finish with something sweet. We can promise that your kids will not get bored with everything you can do here at Frankie’s!

It’s hard to believe that the holidays are here, and pretty soon, it will be time to celebrate the new year. This year instead of spending the holidays at home, spend them at the beach. One of the best things you can do is surprise your family with a vacation to stay in one of our South Carolina vacation rentals. Let’s look below at some fun things that your family can do while on vacation this holiday season.

Bake Sweet Treats

As you are staying in one of our vacation rentals this holiday season, your family can bake some pretty sweet treats in your kitchen. Each of our vacation rentals comes with a full-sized kitchen that your family will feel like you’re still at home but on the beach. Bake up some snickerdoodles, peanut butter chocolate cake, or make peppermint bark with the kids. Let the kids decorate their own gingerbread houses that you make while on vacation and let them eat them afterward. Think of the new memories that your family can meanwhile you bake and enjoy these tasty treats.

Watch Holiday Movies

Another fun thing that your family can do is watch holiday movies this year while on vacation. When you stay in one of our vacation rentals, you will have high-speed internet so you can stream the film. Some of the classic movies that your family can watch are White Christmas, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, or even Elf. Be sure to make some tasty popcorn or snack on some of the delicious treats you have made while on vacation. No matter what movie you watch, just spend as much time on vacation together as a family.

Spend the Day at the Beach

Since you will already be on the South Carolina coast, then head to the beach for a day or two. In between baking and watching movies, relax on the beach as a family. Some of the fun things that the kids can do are have a sandman building contest, build sandcastles like the kids were building gingerbread houses, or sit and relax in the sun. Even though you will be coming during the holiday season, be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen with you. The sun is just as bright as it during the summer months.
