Morris Island Boat Tour

The whole family can connect this summer by trying out the Morris Island Boat Tour. Morris Island is full of undeveloped land that is a gem to explore. The only way to get to the island is by boat. Taking a tour will allow you and the family to soak up 3 hours of exploring the island, looking at wildlife, and checking out new shells. We can promise you that you’ll never experience another island like this one again!

Charleston Riverdogs Baseball Game

Another fun activity that the whole family can enjoy this summer is going to at least one Charleston Riverdogs Baseball game. Fun for all ages, let the kids learn the “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” song, get those delicious hotdogs, and have a good time together. If you have little ones who are big ball players, check out the camps they offer at the stadium. Think of the new memories you’ll make as you watch a ballgame or two.

Explore the SC Aquarium

If you have little ones who aren’t into the above activities, head on to the South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston. Here the family will enjoy the many different exhibits that they have to offer. There is an exhibit for everyone from seeing the Carolina Seas, The Shallows, the Touch Tank, and even the Coastal Plains area. Even Kids Coast has different activities on how the water filtration happens at the aquarium. This would also be a great activity to check out on a rainy day.

There are many other fun activities that you can pick from in the area, but we wanted to share these. If you haven’t booked your next trip to stay with us at Carolina One vacation rentals, now is the time. We can’t wait to hear how you enjoyed your summer vacation here on the South Carolina Coast!

They will be shutting down the streets to run safely on the roads in the morning. Getting to the race is easy peasy as there will be shuttles to get you to the start line. As long as you’re wearing your bib, you can get onto one of the free shuttles.

If you’re looking to register for the race, but you’re unsure of how long it is, then look no further. The Bridge Run will be a 10K, which is 6.2 miles, which many of us may walk daily. Plan Your Labor Day Vacation to the Charleston Area Today

Labor Day weekend seems like it’s a long time away, but it will be here before we all know it. Now is the perfect time to start planning for your Labor Day vacation with the family to kick off the end of the summer together. Staying in one of our Carolina One vacation rentals will allow you and your family to stay close to the fun. Let’s look below why you should plan your vacation to the Charleston area for Labor Day weekend today.

Spend the Day on the Sand

One of the best things about spending your Labor Day vacation is being able to take advantage of the low crowds on the beaches. This year let the kids build enormous sandcastles and let the teens play catch the frisbee. There is something for everyone to do and enjoy a day at the beach. Don’t forget to bring the essentials with you on the beach, such as a beach umbrella, towels, sunscreen, a book to read, and the toys for the kids. Relaxing and spending time together is just what every beach vacation should be about.

Try a New Restaurant

Vacations are the best when it comes to not feeling like cooking for the family in your vacation rental. This year take the family out to a new restaurant that may have just opened or just trying one you’ve never eaten at before. If your family likes seafood, then give The Kingstide a try on Daniel Island. They have a classic raw bar that includes oysters and stone crab claws, and they offer the classics such as lobster rolls and even a steak. Many new restaurants are opening up this summer and fall that you will try maybe a few on your vacation.

While there are many other fun things that you can do this Labor Day this year, we wanted to share these few with you. If you haven’t booked your Labor Day vacation yet, now is the time. We don’t want you and your family to miss out on a great vacation to end the summer and begin a great school year!
