Happy labor day text with America flag over black stone texture background.

For many families, Labor Day weekend means that it’s the end of summer for many families. This year instead of not doing anything to kick off the end of summer, head to the Charleston area. Staying in one of our Carolina One vacation rentals will allow you and your family to relax at the beach and take that last-minute trip. Let’s look below at how you and your family can enjoy your time before school gets back in session.

Kicking off Labor Day weekend is the Charleston Water Week, which runs from September 4th and ends on September 12th. This is a water sports festival that includes kitesurfing, swimming, boating, surfing, and more. There are many different locations that you will be able to participate in this fun event. If you’re staying in one of our Folly Beach vacation rentals, then you’re in luck. You can head over to the Folly Beach Fishing Pier or the Folly Beach County Park to see what they have going on. Think of the fun you’ll have with the family as you get out on the water to make new memories.

12th Annual Edisto Beach Shag Festival

Plan Your Labor Day Vacation to the Charleston Area Today

Labor Day weekend seems like it’s a long time away, but it will be here before we all know it. Now is the perfect time to start planning for your Labor Day vacation with the family to kick off the end of the summer together. Staying in one of our Carolina One vacation rentals will allow you and your family to stay close to the fun. Let’s look below why you should plan your vacation to the Charleston area for Labor Day weekend today.

Spend the Day on the Sand

One of the best things about spending your Labor Day vacation is being able to take advantage of the low crowds on the beaches. This year let the kids build enormous sandcastles and let the teens play catch the frisbee. There is something for everyone to do and enjoy a day at the beach. Don’t forget to bring the essentials with you on the beach, such as a beach umbrella, towels, sunscreen, a book to read, and the toys for the kids. Relaxing and spending time together is just what every beach vacation should be about.

Try a New Restaurant

Vacations are the best when it comes to not feeling like cooking for the family in your vacation rental. This year take the family out to a new restaurant that may have just opened or just trying one you’ve never eaten at before. If your family likes seafood, then give The Kingstide a try on Daniel Island. They have a classic raw bar that includes oysters and stone crab claws, and they offer the classics such as lobster rolls and even a steak. Many new restaurants are opening up this summer and fall that you will try maybe a few on your vacation.

While there are many other fun things that you can do this Labor Day this year, we wanted to share these few with you. If you haven’t booked your Labor Day vacation yet, now is the time. We don’t want you and your family to miss out on a great vacation to end the summer and begin a great school year!
