Enjoy these 4th of July Activities near Charleston

It’s hard to believe that the 4^th of July will be here before you know it, and we have all the details on where your family can enjoy the festivities. If you happen to be staying in one of our Carolina One vacation rentals this 4^th of July, then you’ll be close to the fun. Let’s look below where your family can head to check out the fireworks and other things happening in the area.

Fireworks Galore

This year we are all so excited that the fireworks are back for the 4^th of July celebration. Head on over to Riverfront Park, beginning at 7:00 pm for the excitement. Not only are the fireworks happening, but there will also be plenty of food options to choose from too. Bring your beach chairs, blankets, snacks & water so you can sit back and wait for the show. Admission is free to this fun event.

Stars & Guitars

It seems that many things are getting back to normal, including the Stars & Guitars event on July 2, 2021. This event is taking place at Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens, beginning at 5:30 pm. Stars & Guitars did not happen last year due to COVID-19, but we are excited they are back this year. This is a summer tradition that many love to attend as they listen to country music and they can dance the night away. We suggest that you purchase your tickets now before the show to be sure to attend.

Beach It

Another thing that your family can do this 4^th of July is spending the day at the beach. If you are staying in one of our Oceanfront vacation rentals, then you can go pick out your spot on the beach in the morning. Be sure to pack the cooler full of ice, water, drinks, and snack for the kids. Set up the beach chairs, umbrella, beach blanket, and toys. Then spend the day watching the kids play nearby as you relax in your chair.

Here you and the family will not only be able to have some fun hunting for Easter eggs, but you can eat brunch too. To comply with the Covid-19 Regulations, they will be following social distancing and keeping the groups small for each egg hunt. Think of the memories you as a family will make as you enjoy this fun event and eat some delicious food.

Spring Fling Market

Things to Do this Easter near Charleston with the Family

Another great event that your family can attend this Easter weekend is the Spring Fling Market located at the James Island Town Hall in Charleston. This event is happening on Friday, April 2^nd, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and is one that you don’t want to miss. The Spring Fling Market will be held outdoors so that it can comply with the Covid-19 regulations.

Spring Break 2021 in the Charleston Area

Spring Break will be here before you know it, and now is the time to start thinking about planning it. The Charleston area is an excellent place for the whole family to visit, with many things to do for everyone. Let’s take a peek at what some of the things that you can do together this spring break in the area.

Fun at the Aquarium

If you have kids that love animals, then bring them over to the South Carolina Aquarium one day. Here they will explore different exhibits such as the Mountain Forest, Piedmont, Trading Post, and Kids Coast. The Kids Coast is a great hands-on learning experience that will allow your kids to learn about water filtration and participate in different activities with others. There is also a Saltmarsh Aviary where you’ll be able to step outside and check out the Charleston Harbor, where you’ll see pelicans and more. Be sure, however, to purchase your tickets online before heading over to the Aquarium for the day.

Frankie’s Fun

Another great place where the whole family can head to is Frankie’s in Charleston. Frankie’s has everything that everyone in the family will love. Some of the things that you will be able to do together are mini-golf, go-karts, batting cages, bumper boats, and even an arcade. After playing a round of mini-golf with the family, head on over to Frankie’s Grill, where you can get pizza, burgers, hot dogs and finish with something sweet. It will be taking place on May 17^th – May 23^rd, 2021, at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. While the Wanamaker Club and Ground Ticket packages have all been sold out, you can still find tickets via the Official Ticket Exchange. They do even have some of the box seats available that will allow you to food & beverage services, amenities like WIFI and includes 25 hospitality/practice round tickets. Just think of how fantastic this opportunity will be to enjoy watching a few rounds of golf from the pros.

Where to Stay

It’s hard to believe that the holidays are here, and pretty soon, it will be time to celebrate the new year. This year instead of spending the holidays at home, spend them at the beach. Bake Sweet Treats

Fun Activities to Enjoy this Fall

The fall is a great time of the year to visit the Charleston, SC area with your family. With many different activities and places to visit, this will become your favorite time of the year to vacation. Did You Say Pumpkins?

One of the best things about the fall is knowing that the family can head to the pumpkin patch to grab those pumpkins for later in the season. Head on over to Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch located at the Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant. This is a great place where the kids can pick out the pumpkin, they want to take home or want to carve to decorate your vacation rental. Boone Hall Plantation has other tours that your family can do while visiting sunch as their tractor tours, outside beauty areas on the property and amazing marsh views. This is a great way to explore the plantation and the area for fun fall things to do!

Spooky Tours

Another fun activity that you and your family can do is some ghost tours. While this may not be a suitable activity to do with the younger kids, the teens and young adults will get a thrill out of it. There are many different tours that are available in the area and will keep you on your toes for the night out. Some favorites for many locals would be the USS Yorktown Ghost Tour and Old Charleston Walking Tours. Farm Fun

In addition to spending the day at the pumpkin patch, head on over to a local farm where you will find much more fun. From the petting zoo, feeding the animals to the rope a bull and milk a cow, there is something for everyone.
