Book Now for Summer!

hispanic family enjoying a summer beach vacation

Can you believe summer is just around the corner, and now is the time to book? The Charleston area is the place to be this summer, with many fun events, the beach, and just getting away for quality time with the family. Staying with us at Carolina One vacation rentals will keep your family close to the fun on the beach. Let’s look at why now the best time is to book your summer vacation below.

Book Now Before It’s Too Late

Marine landscape with oceanfront neighborhood in Charleston, South Carolina during low tide. Morning view with palm trees between houses for vacation rentals and footprints on a wet sand.

One of the main reasons you are booking your family summer vacation now is that we may not have the complete inventory as we did at the beginning of the season. Many families love to wait until the last minute to book their trips, but plan and be prepared this year. No matter your family’s size, we have the perfect vacation rental that will fit your family’s needs and wants.

Activities

Another great reason why booking your summer vacation now is the number of activities available. When you vacation in the winter, not all outdoor activities may be available for you to enjoy. The summer months offer our guests more to enjoy without worrying about whether they are open or closed or if the water will be too chilly. Summer means the nightlife is hopping on Folly Beach, and the sun sets later, allowing you to enjoy more time outdoors. There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy and experience during the summer this year in the area.

You should book your summer vacation for many other reasons, but we wanted to share these with you. Now is your time if you’re ready to search for your perfect Carolina One vacation rental. We can’t wait to hear what you’re looking for the most on your next summer vacation to the Charleston area!

Book your Spring Break Vacation Today!

"Spring Break spelled out as clear as it gets in block letters in nice, soft, brown sand"

It’s hard to believe that it will be time for Spring Break with the kids in just a month. Instead of heading to a theme park or the Caribbean this year, why not a vacation in the Charleston area. Staying in one of our Carolina One vacation rentals will allow you and your family to sit back and relax at the beach. Let’s look at a few reasons why spending your Spring Break on our beautiful coast is better than any other vacation.

Crowds

Girl walking on the beautiful beach. Woman relaxing on summer vacation by the ocean. Cloudy sky and pier in the background. Folly Beach, South Carolina USA.

One of the biggest things that we often hear from parents is that the kids want to take a nice Spring Break vacation, but they don’t want to deal with the crowds. You have to deal with large crowds whenever you take a vacation to a theme park or even a waterpark during the few weeks of spring break. This can cause you not to enjoy your trip and regret even taking one. When you vacation on our beautiful coastline, you’ll be able to find a prime spot on the beach, all while still relaxing. The crowd level will be less as it’s not summer vacation, and we promise you that you will want to spend every spring break here.

Amazing Weather

Another reason booking your spring break vacation today is a good idea is the weather. April showers will bring May flowers, but when you vacation to the Coast of South Carolina, you will find that the average amount of days it rains is about five days. The temperatures are also just perfect, and the water temps are just right for you to swim. During the day in April, the average temperature is around 73°, with a low of around 60°. No need to worry about what you’re going to wear; just pack your bags and head here.

Plenty of Space

Furnished living Room in Luxury Home, large kitchen, bar stools, hardwood floors,

Staying in one of our vacation rentals will allow you to bring the kids and possibly a few of their friends. We have homes that will accommodate your whole family, including pet-friendly homes. There will be no worries about hearing the kids fight over who is in the bathroom because many of our rentals have more than one bathroom. You will also be able to save some money so that instead of dining out every day, you’ll be able to fix meals in your vacation rental. Think of how nice it will be to have your family spaced out without arguing on your next trip.

Family-Friendly Activities

One thing we know is when you are on vacation with kids, finding family-friendly activities may seem challenging. Look no further; a few activities are happening on the South Carolina Coast this spring break. Visit the USS Yorktown, South Carolina Aquarium, Charleston City Market, and Boone Hall Plantation. Another thing you can do is spend the day at the beach with the family and just soak up the sun and the memories you’ll make this spring break.

There are many other reasons you should book your vacation to come here this Spring Break, but we wanted to share these with you. If you are still on the hunt for that perfect Carolina One vacation rental, give us a call today. We can’t wait to see you soon!

The Southeastern Wildlife Exposition, also known as SEWE, has been an annual event since 1983. For three days, you’ll be able to attend some exciting events, but you’ll also learn about supporting wildlife and nature in the area. The SEWE continues to contribute to not only the local economy but also support regional and state economies. It is also about celebrating our love for nature and wildlife.

How Can You Attend the SEWE?

If you talk to many locals, you’ll find that attending Southeastern Wildlife Exposition is an honor and so much fun. It has a lot of different kinds of entertainment events, but it also brings families together. Attending the SEWE is easy as 1, 2, 3 as you can get all tickets online. General admission will allow you to participate in several events and exhibits, including the petting zoo, browsing some unique wildlife & nature art & so much more. Plus, all kids under the age of 10 will not need a ticket to be able to attend lectures, demonstrations, and shows. There are other ticket options that you can choose from, including 3-day access, upgrade to VIP, and attending some special events.

Events & Exhibits in 2023’s Southeastern Wildlife Exposition

One of the best things about attending the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition is the events and exhibits each year. Dock dogs Competitions, Copley Fine Art Decoy Exhibit, Birds of Prey Flight Demos, etc. Some of the special events you can attend for an additional cost are Ducks Unlimited Oyster Roast & Lowcountry Cookout, Whiskey Tasting Experience, 2023 Lowcountry Social, and many more.

Attending this event that has been going on for almost 40 years is something you can’t miss. Staying with us in one of our Carolina One vacation rentals will allow your family to experience this fantastic event. We can’t wait to hear what you’re most excited about 2023’s Southeastern Wildlife Exposition!

3 Tips for Affording Your Much Needed Vacation

Summer should be the season for getting away from it all but taking a vacation isn’t as easy as it looks. For many Americans, vacation time can be very little, if any, depending on what they do for a living. The disparity in vacation time should explain why some people still a chance haven’t to take some time off in the summer, but many people aren’t going on vacation because they just can’t afford to. We have come up with three tips on how to afford your much-needed vacation to stay in one of our Carolina One vacation rentals below.

Forego a summer vacation

If you aren’t going on vacation because you can’t afford it, you need to open yourself up to the possibility of going on an off-season vacation. Most rentals and hotels will be booked from May to August, and people who rent during those times will have to pay a lot more than people who go during the off-season. When most people think about the ideal time to vacation they think about the summer, but you can have just as much fun during the fall, winter, or spring.

Time your travel

If you have to fly to your vacation destination, you could save a significant amount of money if you plan your flight for the right day and time. A lot of people will try to fly during the weekend, or on a Friday or Monday. Simply booking your flight on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday could save you a couple hundred dollars. Also see if you can get a flight early in the morning or late at night. Since we’re on the subject of travel, we should tell you to . . .

Avoid flying

family standing in front of car that is packed for a vacation ready to leave

When most people consider traveling for vacation, they immediately think of taking a plane. Airplanes can be expensive, but they take a lot less time than driving by car would. If you don’t want to have to pay for a plane ticket, but also don’t want to drive, consider getting to your vacation destination by train. Trains are bit more expensive than making your trek by car, but it’s considerable less expensive than having to fly. Amtrak and other rail services offer great discounts for people that travel during weekdays, and you could save hundreds in travel expenses.

While there are many other tips on how to save for your next vacation, we wanted to share these with you. If you are ready to make that dream vacation happen this year, give us a call. We hope to see you and your family soon!

Think of the new memories you and your family will make while visiting this fantastic event this holiday season.

Holiday Street Festival

Join the annual holiday festival in Isle of Palms for the Holiday Street Festival on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022. Look no further if you’re looking for something a little more like a Christmas parade. On Sunday, December 11th, from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm, the Mount Pleasant Christmas Parade will be happening. This parade starts with a bang with an impressive fireworks show followed by the parade. You’ll see lit-up floats and different groups brightly as they march down the streets. Are you and your family looking to do something a little different this year for the holidays? If the answer is yes, let us share a few reasons you should visit this year. Staying in one of our Carolina One vacation rentals will keep you and your family close to the fun. See below why you should spend your holidays with us on the South Carolina Coast.

Plenty of Space

family in a large home on holiday vacation

A big reason for spending the holidays this year in one of our vacation rentals is getting to bring the whole family. Depending on the size of your family will be a significant factor in what size home you’d need to stay in. We have homes perfect for a family of four and some that can sleep up to 20 people. With the size of the house comes the guarantee that you won’t be hearing arguments about who sleeps where and who is hogging the bathroom every morning. There will be plenty for everyone to have their own space. We can promise you that you’ll hear more arguments about leaving to go home than wanting to come back to the area year after year.

Large Kitchens

kitchen in newly constructed luxury home

Another great reason for spending the holidays here on the coast is the large kitchens in our vacation rentals. No need to worry about prepping food to bring on vacation when you can prepare your holiday food in your rental. Bake a few dozen cookies with the kids and let them decorate them. Start a new tradition this year to cook Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas dinner in your rental rather than going out to eat. No matter how big your family is this holiday season, we can promise you’ll have plenty of space in your rental to cook any sized meal for any family gathering!

There are many other reasons why spending the holidays on the Coast of South Carolina, but we wanted to share these with you. If you haven’t booked your next vacation to stay with us at Carolina One vacation rentals, now is the time. We can’t wait to hear which holiday vacation rental was your family’s favorite this year!

How to Enjoy the Best Fall Vacation on the SC Coast

One of several trees along Folly Beach outside Charleston, SC.

Do you have a vacation planned to the coast of SC this fall? If the answer is yes, let us share how you can enjoy it a little more. Staying with us at Carolina One vacation rentals allows you to enjoy what fall offers. Let’s look below at our few ways how you can enjoy the best fall vacation you’ve ever had on the SC Coast.

Weather

Two older people walking in public park under canopy of grand oaks on nice autumn day; woman carries a camera

The fall will bring not only the change of colors with the leaves but also cooler temps. The weather during the fall months will leave you wanting to stay longer and allow you to get out and enjoy the area more. The temps during September during the day usually are around 83° and a low of around 72°. October brings on cooler temps with a high of 75° in the day and a low of 62°. November brings much cooler days with a high of 67° and lows in the 50s. We always suggest bringing a light jacket and packing a pair of pants just in case you get a little chilly at night. The average amount of rain for September is around seven days and four days for October and November. No matter what the weather may be here, it’s better than being at home and not on vacation.

Fewer Crowds

Photo of beach, sand, ocean with birds sitting on beach on Isle of Palms, South Carolina

Another great reason why vacationing on the SC Coast during the fall months is there are fewer crowds. This means that when you visit one of the beaches in the area, like Folly Beach or Isle of Palms, you will get a better spot for the day. Fewer crowds also mean that going to local attractions and restaurants means less waiting time. Who wants to wait over two hours to grab a bite to eat when you can vacation this fall and get in with less wait. This is one of the best ways to enjoy your vacation this fall!

While there are many other reasons why you can have the best fall vacation here on the SC Coast, we wanted to share these with you. If you haven’t booked your next vacation to stay in one of our Carolina One vacation rentals, now is the time. We can’t wait to see you and your family as you experience one of the many reasons, we love the fall!
